Kate Hamilton, violist, is described by Minnesota Public Radio as... “hot viola playing, she uses her bow to draw out a rich stew of colors...and has a sound like liquid gold”.
She enjoys an international career as the Associate Professor of Viola at the University of Nevada- Las Vegas, and the International Artist of Viola at the Universidad de Chile. In addition, she is the Codirector of the International Chamber Music Festival in Joao Pessoa, at the Universidad de Federal, Paraiba, Brazil. Recently, Kate was a guest in the viola section of the Berlin Philharmonic (Germany) under legendary conductors Bernard Haitink and Herbert Bloomsteadt at the Berlin Philharmonie. At the age of 24, she won her first major audition with the San Diego Symphony ( California, USA).
Kate has been a soloist with the Wuhan Philharmonic Orchestra (China), Central Oregon Symphony, Kansas City Civic Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of San Jose (Costa Rica), and the Vale Veneto Festival Orchestra (Brazil). Recent solo recitals and guest masterclasses have taken her to the Sydney Conservatory (Australia), Milan Conservatory (Italy) Vivaldi Conservatory (Italy), the New Zealand School of Music, and numerous USA locations.

Described by the legendary violinist Yehudi Menuhin as “one of the most talented young musicians I have ever seen”, Professor Wei-Wei Le, a native of Shanghai, graduated high school from Yehudi Menuhin School in England. She then went on and received her Bachelor of Music from Oberlin Conservatory of Music, a Master of Music degree from Cleveland Institute of Music, and a Graduate Diploma from New England Conservatory of Music.
Le has firmly established herself as one of the most gifted violinists of her generation. She has won many important international competitions, including the Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition (England), the Kloster Schontal International Violin Competition (Germany), and the Starling International Violin Competition (USA), among others.
Her studies have taken her to the renowned violin pedagogues, such as Yehudi Menuhin, Donald Weilerstein, Almita and Roland Vamos, Wenzhou Li, and Dorothy DeLay. As a solo performer, Le has given recitals and concerts all over the world, performing solo concertos with noteworthy orchestras such as the Hong Kong Philharmonic, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (London), Queensland Symphony (Australia), Bermuda Symphony Orchestra, and the State of Mexico Symphony Orchestra.
As a devoted chamber musician, Le has collaborated with great musicians and quartets in North America, Europe, and Asia, including Richard Stoltzman, William Preucil, Sara Chang, and Eliot Fisk, as well as the Ying Quartet and St. Petersburg Quartet. Prior to her appointment at UNLV, Le served on the faculty at Emory University and Georgia State University in Atlanta.
Professor Le received her B.A. from Oberlin College - Conservatory of Music, her M.M. from Cleveland Institute of Music, and the Graduate Diploma from New England Conservatory.
Hailed as a “marvelous violinist” (France Musique) with “sensitive tone” (Pizzicato Magazine) and “tremendous ease, suppleness and beauty of sound” (Nice-Matin), French violinist Ambroise Aubrun enjoys a career as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician and pedagogue. He has performed extensively in Europe and North America in halls such as Salzburg Haus Für Mozart, Yerevan Khachaturian Grand Hall, Los Angeles Broad Stage, Zipper Hall, Chicago Bradley Hall and Paris Hotel des Invalides, and has shared the stage with Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Scott St. John, Martin Chalifour, Fred Sherry, Clive Greensmith, Carrie Dennis, Richard O’Neill, Rohan de Saram, the Borroméo and Ebène string quartets among others.
His recordings for the Editions Hortus label have received rave reviews and awards from the international press (4 stars Classica Magazine, 5 stars Pizzicato Journal, “coup de coeur” France Musique, 4 stars Diapason and a nomination for the 2021 International Classical Music Awards).
An advocate for contemporary music, Aubrun has premiered over 20 works and recently recorded an album dedicated to the music of composer Eric Tanguy, to be released in 2021.
Aubrun’s performances and albums have been broadcasted on CBS, WFMT, France Musique, KPFK, KNCJ and K-USC Los Angeles.
Aubrun graduated at age 19 from the Paris National Superior Conservatory where he studied with Roland Daugareil and Serge Pataud. He then studied at UCLA (D.M.A.) with Guillaume Sutre and at the Colburn Conservatory of Music (Artist Diploma) with Martin Beaver.
Currently Assistant Professor of Violin at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Aubrun previously taught Violin and Chamber Music at the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music and UC Santa Barbara. He has also served on the faculty of the Montecito International Academy, The Chamber Music Unbound Festival and Academy, the Foosa Academy, the Impulse New Music Festival, the Socal Chamber Music Workshop and the Arconet Academy and is regularly invited to give masterclasses.
He plays a Matteo Goffriller violin, on a generous loan by the Langart Foundation.

Cellist Andrew Smith is an Associate Professor of music at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and the Principal Cellist of The Las Vegas Philharmonic. He is an original member of the Camerata Deiá, a group founded in 2001 to be the resident ensemble with The Festival Internacional de Deiá , a summer festival in Majorca, Spain. He was also a founding member of The Adriatic Chamber Music Festival, a summer music program in southern Italy, where he taught and performed from 1998 - 2008. An active recitalist, Andrew has collaborated with pianist Alfredo Oyagüez in cello/piano recitals in Spain, Italy, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, New Zealand, Argentina, and Japan, as well as in Kosovo, Serbia, and Macedonia. Recent recitals include performances at the Emilia Romagna Festival, the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, and Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York City. The Smith/Oyagüez duo recently released a CD entitled, “Spanish Music for Cello and Piano,” on the Delos label in January, 2017. Of the CD, the American Record Guide said the duo plays “with verve and sensitivity,” and recommended the program “without reserve.”
During summers, in addition to The Festival Internacional de Deiá, in Spain, and The Adriatic Chamber Music Festival in Italy, Smith has taught and performed in several music festivals, including the Marrowstone Music Festival, Festival Mozaic in San Luis Obispo, CA, the Rocky Ridge Music Center, the Blue Mountain Festival, Dakota Chamber Music, The Green Valley Chamber Music Festival, the Tuacahn Summer Arts Institute, and The Las Vegas Music Festival.
Mr. Smith is a recipient of the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he was a member of the Young Artists String Quartet. He has also earned a Master's degree from The Mannes College of Music in New York, and a Bachelor of Music degree from the Hartt College of Music in Hartford, CT. He has studied cello with Timothy Eddy, Bernard Greenhouse, Leslie Parnas, Ron Leonard, and Geoffrey Rutkowski.
