MEChA de UNLV is excited to present our first workshop of the Cafe y Conchas series. This "back to school / welcome to college" workshop is for incoming students and their families to learn how to navigate the college process and inform themselves on the resources, services, and tools available to help students have a successful and rewarding college experience!

Our MEChistAs have been present all summer at the New Student Orientation fairs, meeting incoming students and sharing with them what MEChA de UNLV is about and how they can get involved.
Our MESA Directiva just finished their summer retreat and are ready to bring some awesome things to campus.
During our retreat, La MESA took part in UndocuAlly Training to learn how to better support our immigrant peers. The UndocuAlly workshop was presented by UNLV's Immigrant Student Resource Coordinator Mariana Sarmiento of the Office of Diversity Initiatives.
MESA members also took part in a Reproductive Justice workshop presented by our community advisor and MEChA de UNLV alumnus Alex Camberos of Planned Parenthood.
