Positive percent agreement (sensitivity) and negative percent agreement (specificity)Current Policy for UMC Employees as of 1/2022
On-site testing is available to UMC employees who have been exposed COVID-19. Exposure is defined as spending 15 minutes or more within 6 feet of someone with an active COVID-19 infection, regardless of whether you or the other individual wore a face covering during the encounter. Employees should schedule their testing appointments five to seven days after exposure. Testing prior to this time period may result in false negative results.
Current Policy for Sunrise Employees as of 12/2021
Employees may go to the HCA designated location at CareNow Urgent Care on Charleston and Decatur at 4575 W. Charleston Blvd., Suite A. Show your Sunrise Hospital badge. All other CareNow locations will treat testing like all community locations.
What you need to know about COVID testing:
Individuals must be tested before day 5 with approved testing which is NOT home tests. They must follow ALL directions on the COVID email and phone instructions.
Individuals can return to work after day 5 from symptoms. (example: Today sx starts (1/7)= Day Zero, Test positive on 1/9, Can RTW 1/13)-Please advise the COVID email box if you return to work.
Using this algorithm will require everyone to be very careful with masking, distancing and hand washing. No one should be eating or drinking within 6 feet of another individual.
Individuals will not be allowed to return with fever, vomiting, diarrhea or SpO2 <94%. Anyone reporting these symptoms should not be at work.
Be sure you are testing at a facility. Home tests are not accepted. All results, negative or positive, need to be sent to SUNRCovidEmployeeHealth@hcahealthcare.com and must have your name, date tested, and the test result (not a diagnosis page or care instruction page). Screen shots or photos of paperwork and PDF's are acceptable provided they can be read when printed. Please do not send links to your health information app - it cannot be opened.

UNLV Student Health Center (SHC) and Faculty and Staff Treatment (FAST) Center offer rapid COVID antigen testing for $9 and PCR testing for $70 in our laboratory. The service is available to students, faculty, staff, and dependents (age 12 years and older).
Both tests determine if an individual is currently infected with COVID-19 with or without symptoms. Test results are usually available in approximately one hour for antigen testing and two hours for PCR testing.
Those without symptoms may call the SHC/FAST Center Laboratory at 702-895-0280 to schedule an appointment. Those experiencing COVID symptoms are encouraged to contact the SHC (for students) at 702-895-3370 or the FAST Center (for faculty, staff, and dependents) at 702-895-0630 to schedule an appointment with a health care provider for assessment and lab testing
