This work covers all aspects which are necessary for achieving successful practical synthetic chemistry by the undergraduate students such as: health and safety advice, setting of experiments, data analysis, quiz, marking and given scientific feedback.
Attending most scientific events and seminars held in School of Chemistry, University of Manchester (2012-2017). Particularly those related to Organic Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry.
Undergraduate Supervision: Final Year Project Students, UoS-College of Science, Chemistry Department (2007- To present).
- Application of Aldol reaction in Synthesis of some simple hexose sugars.
- Alkylation of some carbonyl compounds via Enamine procedure.
- Spectroscopic study of some oximes, hydrazones, and semicarbazone.
- Total Synthesis of (+)-Hygrine.
MSc Student Supervision: Currently, I am supervisor of two a research projects for MSc degree. First, MSc student, College of Science, this project under the tittle “Development of small-molecules that possessing biological and physical activity”. Second, MSc student, Ministry of Health, , The greening of an intramolecular, free-radical, Truce-Smiles rearrangement reaction: a metal-free synthesis of hindered bi-aryls.
PhD Student Supervision: I am co-supervisor of a PhD research project for PhD degree, College of Education, the project under the tittle “Green and Nanoparticles Catalyzing Organic Transformations”.
