Volunteers needed for Senior Boards, November 17th

We need community volunteers to help with Senior Board Presentations on Monday, November 17, from 12:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Seniors will submit a portfolio and give a ten minute presentation about their projects. The board will rate the project according to a rubric. Training will be provided prior to and each volunteer will serve on a board made up of teachers and volunteers. Parents are welcome to participate, although parents of seniors will not evaluate their own child’s project. This is a great opportunity for parents of younger students to get an inside view of what their student will experience when he/she becomes a senior. If you can help, please save the date and complete this Senior Boards Volunteer Sign-up form. If you have any questions, you may email me at dvaardahl@universityschools.com. Staff Updates

• Keep kids in your classroom as much as possible - one at a time to the restroom (leave phones in the classroom, and take their ID)

• Please be consistent in enforcing cell phone policies.  Make sure to contact parents if you take a phone from their student.

• Keep your classroom doors closed when you have students in class unless you are supervising students in the hallway at that time.  Your window in your door should be left uncovered.
