Hello! My name is Lesly Alejandra Licea this will be my 6th year teaching at UPCS. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies: Teaching and Learning with a concentration in Mathematics and my Multiple Subject Credential from CSU Channel Islands. I also have a Masters of Curriculum Studies with a concentration in STEMS^2 from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa

Oxnard born and raised, I am first generation born and graduate! My son, Juan, is a student in the Oxnard Union High School District and will be starting 11th grade at Pacifica High School. Juan and I enjoy spending most of our free time at Universal Studios, but we realized that we LOVE to travel and concerts just as much! When I am not at a theme park or traveling, I am most likely spending time with family and doing what we love together. My friends are also a huge part of my free time and we always find or make ways to meet and try new things! I also enjoy learning other languages or about them; I speak, read, and write fluently in Spanish. I understand French and Hawaiian. I'm currently learning Japanese!

I am excited for the 2025-2026 school year! Building relationships in the classroom is key for me to get to know and understand each student in their learning. In my classroom I strive to create a positive learning environment where each and every student can feel safe and comfortable... I can't wait to see what awaits this school year!
