Davide Rossi
PhD Candidate in Applied Economics and Management

Università di Pavia e Bergamo

My name is Davide Rossi, and I come from Bari, in Southern Italy. Currently, I am a PhD candidate in Applied Economics and Management at the Universities of Pavia and Bergamo. I completed my undergraduate studies in Economics and Social Science at Bocconi University in Milan, and further pursued my academic journey abroad. I obtained a Master of Science degree in Economic Development and Growth from Carlos III University in Madrid, followed by another Master's degree in Policy Economics from Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

During the Covid pandemic, I returned to Italy and spent a year working in the consulting sector at Ernst&Young Milan in the Tax & Legal Office. However, I made the decision to resign from my job in order to fully dedicate myself to academic research, and I am grateful to the Universities of Pavia and Bergamo for providing me with this opportunity.

My primary research interests lie in the field of political economy, economic policies, fiscal expenditures, taxation, and inequality. It is my aspiration to become a valuable member of the scientific community and to make a humble contribution to the advancement of economic science.
