Welcome!
My name is Elena and I am a researcher at ETH - D-MTEC, Chair of Integrative Risk Management and Economics in Zurich.
I am an applied microeconomist, specialized in Labour and Health Economics.
Before Zurich, I was a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at the Paris School of Economics. I received my Ph.D in Economics from Ca' Foscari University of Venice in February 2020. You can find my CV here
My research focuses on understanding retirement choices and the effect of pension reforms. Recently, I investigated women's response to a recent Italian pension reform, which changed the incentive to early retirement.
In the context of my Marie Curie project, I analyzed the role of social norms in affecting individuals' health status and gender health inequalities.
NEWS: I won a VisitINPS Fellowship! Together with Han Ye and Chiara Malavasi we will study the effect of switching from a DB to a NDC system on women's retirement patterns!
