Gender Sensitization

The Faculty Gender Cell of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jaffna, successfully organized a Gender Sensitization Workshop on 17th January 2025 at the Computer Unit, Faculty of Agriculture, from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

The workshop was conducted for the academic and academic supportive staff of the Faculty with the objective of enhancing awareness and promoting gender sensitivity, equality, and inclusivity within the university community.

The session was facilitated by Ms. Vythehi Narendran, Field Project Associate, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Kilinochchi, who served as the resource person. She delivered an engaging and informative presentation covering key concepts of gender sensitization, gender equality, workplace inclusivity, and the importance of fostering a respectful and discrimination-free academic environment.

The workshop was conducted in both Tamil and English, enabling active participation and effective interaction among all attendees.

The Faculty of Agriculture extends its sincere appreciation to Ms. Vythehi Narendran for sharing her expertise and valuable insights. The Faculty also thanks all participants for their enthusiastic involvement, which contributed to the success of this important awareness programme.
