Business Incubation Cell of the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, initiated fortnight market on every Wednesday, from 13th of December 2017 to give an awareness among University people on native products. And to enhance the relationship between the Faculty and the business community. This market has been organized on every Wednesday from 8.30 am to 3.30 pm. Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from North Sri Lanka are invited to market their product within the Faculty premises. Business Incubation cell of the faculty of Management studies and commerce jointly with the Senior Common Room (SCR), University of Jaffna, allocated a place in SCR for locating used saree collection box allocated a place in SCR for locating used saree collection box on 3rd of January 2018.‘Saree connection’ is a project initiated by ‘PARCIC’; A Japan NGO. Used sarees are collected by this project and are recycled as input material for making clothes to sell in international market for tourist segment. First pool of used sarees were collected by PARCIC on 14th of February 2018.
