Professor M.A. Aitouche is a Full Professor at the University of Boumerdès. A graduate of the École Normale Supérieure (ENS), he earned his Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Algiers (1977). He then pursued studies in Geophysics, obtaining first a State Engineering Diploma in Petroleum Geophysics from the Algerian Petroleum Institute (IAP, 1986), followed by a Magister degree in Geophysics with a specialization in signal processing, focusing on time-frequency analysis of non-stationary signals (National Institute of Hydrocarbons and Chemistry - INH, 1997). After completing his PhD in Geophysics on Chaos Theory and Fractal Images, Prof. Aitouche earned his Habilitation to Supervise Research (HDR) in 2012. He is also the co-author of two pedagogical books:
Time-Frequency Analysis of Non-Stationary Signals (OPU, 1993)
Analog and Digital Filtering: Coursebook with Solved Exercises (Dar-El-Djazairia Publishing, 2012).
His scientific research focuses on fractal analysis, advanced signal processing methods, and geostatistical analysis of seismological data.
