The PREVENT dashboard collects in a systematic way references to selected data sources useful for impact evaluation analysis of the effects of climate change.

GEO-LOCALISED WEATHER EXTREME EVENTS RELATED TO CHANGE IN CLIMATIC CONDITIONS

• ESWD

  • The European Severe Weather Database (ESWD) collects detailed geolocalised information on reported extreme weather events in Europe.

• Declarations of State of Emergency

  • Gatto A, Clò S, Martellozzo F, Segoni S (2023) Tracking a Decade of Hydrogeological Emergencies in Italian Municipalities. Data, 8(10), 151, available at https://doi.org/10.3390/data8100151

    • The paper by Gatto et al. (2023) outlines the methodology used to collect information on declarations of State of Emergency as a consequence of hydrogeological events in Italy from 2012 to 2022. Data are compiled by declaration, month and municipality. Declaration-level data on funds allocation are also reported.

• Hazard maps

  • Landslide and flood hazard and risk (ISPRA) 

    • Maps of hazards and risks (floods and landlsides) for the entire Italian territory.

• Patent data from RegPat

  • Data by relevant technologies (including climate change adaptation) at the NUTS3 level are available from the OECD

• Financial data from Bureau van Dijk products

  • Balance sheet and income statement information for Italian companies are available in the commercial databases AIDA and ORBIS by Bureau van Dijk. Companies are geolocalised. 

• INAIL data on workplace accidents

  • Microdata on workplace accidents by day, severity and NUTS3 region are published by INAIL.

RESPONSE SPENDING ACTIONS IN THE FORM OF BOTH EXPENDITURES AND INVESTMENTS

  • Data on public revenue and expenditure of Italian municipal governments with detailed breakdown are published by Openbilanci.

• SIOPE

  • Monthly revenues and expenditure by various levels of governments and institutions are collected in the SIOPE database.

• Opencup

  • OPENCUP is the national repository of project-specific public investments.
