Agnese Sacchi, born in 1980, got a B.A. in Economics at the University of Urbino (2004) and a Ph.D. in Economics at Marche Polytechnic University (2008). She also got an M.Sc. in Economics at the same University (2005). She was a post-doc Research Fellow (2008-2013) at Roma Tre University, Sapienza University of Rome and Marche Polytechnic University.
She was an Assistant Professor in Economics at Universitas Mercatorum (the online University of the Chambers of Commerce) in Rome (2013-2016), an Assistant Professor (with a tenure track) in Public Finance (2016-2020), and an Associate Professor of Public Finance (2020-2021) at the Department of Economics and Law, Sapienza University of Rome.
From April 2021 to September 2023, she was an Associate Professor of Economic Policy at the Department of Economics, Society, and Politics (DESP) of the University.
Since October 2023, she has been an Associate Professor of Public Finance at DESP of the University of Urbino.
She was a Visiting Research Student (2006) at the London School of Economics, a Visiting Research Scholar (2014) at the Barcelona Institute of Economics (IEB) and a Consultant for the OECD Fiscal Network (2017). She was a Junior Research Fellow at the Sapienza School for Advanced Studies (2019-2021).
From 2017 to 2019, she was a member (elected) of the National University Council (CUN) in Italy.
In 2018, she got the Italian Full Professorship Qualification in Public Finance.
In 2021, she got the Italian Full Professorship Qualification in Economic Policy.
She was a member (elected) of the Academic Senate of the University of Urbino (2021-2024).
She was a Board member (elected) of the European Public Choice Society (2022-2025).
She is a member of the International Center for Decentralization and Governance (IDEAGOV) based at the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (Spain).
Since November 2024, she has been Chairman of the Board of Directors (elected) of the Regional Agency for the Right to Education.
