Hello!!!  I am so excited to be your teacher this year!  This will be my 16th year teaching, but only my 5th year at UJHS.  Previously I taught in Missouri for 11 years.  I have taught 1st grade, and 5th-8th grade Language Arts.  My favorite is the 6th-8th grade crew because of the amount of academic and personal growth that takes place at those ages.  It is fascinating!  

My favorite part about teaching is building relationships that lay the framework for a lifelong love and appreciation for learning.  Once a student enters my classroom, they are forever referred to as "my kid".  It is my greatest pleasure to be able to make a small, positive impact on the students who are assigned to my class!

In my home life, I am both a  wife and a mother.  My husband's name is Jared and he is the Scout Executive/CEO for the Prairielands Council of Boy Scouts of America.  His job led us to this area the summer of 2019.  We have three kids, all of whom attend Unity schools.  Our oldest son, Jack, is 13, our middle son, Levi, is 11, and our youngest, our daughter Molly, is 8.  They keep us busy with many activities.   Our family also has three four legged members!  We have a Yorkie/Beagle mix named Lincoln and a Labradoodle named Emmett, and a chunky house-cat named Suzi.
