Hi! My name is Lauren Hamilton, and I am your student's fifth grade teacher this year. This will be my third year at Unity West, but my fifth year of teaching. Before coming to Unity, I taught 5th and 6th grade at Arcola Elementary School.  Teaching at Unity West is very important to me as I was raised in the Unit 7 School District. This place is my home, and I am so happy to be here! Along with teaching, I also coach volleyball at UJHS and UHS! 

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling to new places, and spending a lot of time with my dog, Kash. Your student will hear a lot about him this school year! :)

As I mentioned before, I believe we are a family in this classroom, and that the best way for a student to succeed is when home and school work as a team. It is my hope that you will work with me this year in order to ensure that your student has a wonderful year of growth!
