The red wolves are known for the reddish color of their fur around on their ears, neck, and back. The average adult red wolf weighs 45-80 pounds, 4 feet long from the tip of the nose to the end of the tail, and stands about 26 inches at the shoulder. They used to live in North Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas but today you can only find them in North Carolina's Albemarle Peninsula. They are under the Critically Endangered Status.
They are the rarest wolves in the world now. They are being hunted and their homes are being destroyed. I picked them because nobody seems to care what happens to them, but I do.
