The research group Complex Systems and Scientific Computing focuses on topics related to ordinary differential equations (ODEs), partial differential equations (PDEs), mathematical modeling, and computational simulation, with a particular emphasis on processes that require a high volume of calculations.
Our group represents the National University of Trujillo in the project “South American Competence Center of Scientific Computing in Health and Climate” (SaC3), coordinated by the University of Magdeburg and a consortium of universities from Germany, Colombia, Peru, and Brazil.
The research group, through its members, has actively participated in multiple academic events led by Dr. Obidio Rubio Mercedes. One of the most recent activities was their participation in the Summer School and Workshop on Modeling and Numerics in Epidemiology. This event, organized as the first activity of SaC3, consisted of a one-week summer school and conference held at the Universidad del Valle in Cali, Colombia.
