The study of migration has gained unprecedented prominence as global conflicts, economic disparities, climate change, and shifting borders continue to drive displacement worldwide. While migration research has expanded significantly, particularly in Europe, it remains fraught with ethical and methodological challenges. These include questions of representation, power dynamics, and the responsibilities of researchers working with vulnerable populations. This conference seeks to address these challenges by exploring the role of reflexivity and the use of arts-based methodologies in migration research. We aim to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and promote innovative approaches that center the voices and experiences of migrants while critically reflecting on the practices and assumptions of researchers.
