Professor Francesca Vidotto is a theoretical physicist, working on loop quantum gravity. Alongside her research, she has been teaching philosophy of science and promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in science.Â
Abstract
Diversity nourishes science and makes it strive. Representation and inclusion are more than just a matter of equality: they matter for the quality of science! Examples from the history of women in science and from feminist philosophy of science show us so. What lessons can we take for physics? Can feminism help us to make physics better?
