Measuring INterfacial Gas evasion flUxes from regulated mountain riverS
MINGUS (Measuring INterfacial Gas evasion flUxes from regulated mountain riverS) is a two-year scientific project (December 2021-2023) that aims at quantifying greenhouse gas emissions from regulated mountain rivers.
The project is led by Dr Giulio Dolcetti, Prof. Annunziato Siviglia, and Prof. Guido Zolezzi of the University of Trento, Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering (DICAM), and is developed in partnership with Agenzia Provinciale per la Protezione dell'Ambiente della Provincia Autonoma di Trento (APPA), with the collaboration of Dr Maria Cristina Bruno and Dr Stefano Larsen of Fondazione Edmund Mach (FEM), Dr Sebastiano Piccolroaz (DICAM) and Dr Elisa Calamita (EAWAG, Switzerland).
The project is funded by Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Trento e Rovereto (CARITRO) through a bando post-doc 2021 fund (2021.0225 - Quantificazione delle Emissioni di Gas Serra in Corsi d'Acqua Alpini Soggetti a Hydropeaking), with co-funding by DICAM.
