30 January 2026: a project meeting was held in Innsbruck to discuss the progress made within the project. 

18 September 2026: a field campaign using Eurac’s UAS was conducted around the Mezzolombardo flux tower to evaluate the spatial distribution of various meteorological variables. 

3 July 2025: A field campaign with a large-aperture scintillometer has started in Mezzolombardo, to compare scintillometer-based and eddy-covariance-based turbulent fluxes. The field campaign is the result of a collaboration with prof. Andrea Pitacco (University of Padova).

24 June 2025: The paper "A Review of Methods and Challenges for Wind Measurement by Small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles" by Mohammadamin Soltaninezhad, Roberto Monsorno and Stefano Tondini (https://doi.org/10.1002/met.70065) has been published in Meteorological Applications!

May 2025: Eurac tested in a wind tunnel the performance of the UAS in measuring wind speed and direction.

18 November 2022: a project meeting was held in Bolzano, at Eurac Research. The meeting was divided in two parts: the first one dedicated to the involvement of stakeholders from other research groups at Eurac Research, and the second one for a discussion between project partners.
