Advancing Remote Sensing & Modeling for Water Quality Management
SQUAS (Strumenti di monitoraggio e previsionali sullo stato di QUalità delle Acque Superficiali) is a one-year applied research project that aims to integrate remote sensing and modeling to develop tools to support local authorities and companies to effectively manage water quality in surface water bodies, including lakes, reservoirs, and major rivers.
The project started on 23 October 2023.
The SQUAS project is led by Dr. Sebastiano Piccolroaz of the Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering of the University of Trento and is conducted in collaboration with MobyGIS-Waterjade.
The SQUAS project is funded by Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Trento e Rovereto (CARITRO) through a Bando ricerca e sviluppo 2021/22 fund.
