Hackaprompt is a unique hackathon where teams of students tackle programming challenges using only large language models. Participants will solve a series of problems of increasing complexity, ranging from basic coding tasks to advanced topics such as complex algorithms and parallel computing.

However, this is not just a test of prompt engineering, it’s an opportunity to deeply explore the strengths and limitations of generative AI. How well can these models handle complex reasoning? Where do they struggle? And how can we, as computer scientists and engineers, harness them effectively to solve real-world problems?

Through hands-on experimentation, students will develop a critical perspective on AI capabilities, engage in metacognitive reflection on problem-solving strategies, and gain insights into the evolving role of AI in software development.
