Course “Legal and criminological aspects of the Mafia"
(“Aspetti criminologici e giuridici del fenomeno mafioso”)

The course aims to deepen, from an interdisciplinary perspective (criminology / sociology of deviance and criminal law), the development and characteristics of organised crime and mafia-type groups, as well as national counterstrategies. It offers students the opportunity to reflect on the interaction between law and social phenomena in the field of organised crime.

The course deals with business security, an activity by which a company protects itself from risks associated with negative events for business continuity. Particular emphasis is placed on brand protection, an activity by which a company seeks to prevent losses caused by the illegal exploitation of its brand.
