I am Assistant Professor of Criminology and Scientific Coordinator of the eCrime Research Group at the Faculty of Law, University of Trento (Italy), and a member of the Centre for Security and Crime Sciences, a joint initiative of the Universities of Trento and Verona.
At the University of Trento, I teach Digital Criminology, Transnational Organized Crime, Urban Security: Legal and Criminological Issues, Corporate Security and Brand Protection, and Financial Crime and Risk Analysis. At the University of Verona, I teach Crime and Criminology in the Digital Society, Legal and Criminological Aspects of Organized Crime, and Anti-Counterfeiting, Brand Protection, and the Protection of Made in Italy.
I also serve as Academic Specialist for the LL.M. in Cybercrime, Cybersecurity, and International Law, jointly offered by UNICRI, UPEACE, and the Centre for Security and Crime Sciences.
Over the last decade, my research has focused on the intersection of crime and the digital society, with particular interests in cybercrime and digital criminology, organized crime, urban security, online hate speech, counterfeiting and illicit markets, human trafficking, and the smuggling of migrants and asylum seekers.
