Human-centered Artificial Intelligence (AI) represents a paradigm shift in the development and deployment of AI technologies, emphasizing the augmentation, complementarity, and enhancement of human capabilities, rather than replacing them. This approach intertwines the technical prowess of AI with ethical, social, and human values, ensuring that AI advancements are not only effective but also beneficial and accessible to all segments of society.
The goal is to foster collaboration among research communities to stimulate the development of advanced artificial intelligence approaches applicable across various computing and communication domains. For this reason, this special session also welcomes high-quality interdisciplinary contributions related to applications in health, well-being, industry 5.0, environmental control/monitoring, computer vision, smart cities, smart agriculture, smart distance education, and self-driving vehicles.
The special session will be inserted in the IJCNN conference, held in Maastricht, the Netherlands, and part of its proceedings.
