Mr. Nordhus
6th Grade
Greetings and welcome to Mr. Nordhus' 6th-grade class! It fills me with joy to have the opportunity to learn and grow with you this academic year. As an educator, I have taught 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade over the past 11 years at United Community School District. My teaching degree in Elementary Education, with an endorsement in Mathematics and Social Studies, was obtained from Iowa State University in 2012. In addition, I am a proud husband and father of two children. My youngest, Weston, is currently attending preschool here at United, while my oldest, Anika, is in 4th grade at Gilbert. My wife is also a teacher, specializing in preschool education at Ames Community School District. Lastly, we have a delightful Blue Heeler/Australian Shepherd named Finn who completes our family.
