Hello! This is my 13th year teaching and my 9th year teaching at Parkside Junior High. I am the Instructional LBS1 on the O-Team. I am eager to grow and learn with each of you throughout the year! I received my Bachelor's degree from Illinois State University. In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, and playing with my cats. I look forward to a great year with each of you!

Science & Language Arts

Hey everyone! I'm excited to be starting my 5th year teaching, and my 3rd year at PJHS teaching 8th grade Science and Language Arts. I received my Bachelor's degree in Middle Level Education from ISU in 2021, and my Master's in Kinesiology in 2016 from SIUE. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, watching a variety of sports, and playing with my two dogs and two cats. I am excited to meet you all and to have a great school year!

Social Studies & Language Arts

Welcome to 8th grade!  I am looking forward to exploring American History and Language Arts with you this year.  This is my 17th  year teaching and my 14th at PJHS.  I am also the Student Council sponsor here at PJ.  My Bachelor’s degrees are in English and English Education, with endorsements in Social Studies and Middle Level Education, and my Master’s is in Literacy.  I love reading (especially mysteries), coffee, any kind of puzzle, and spending time with family, friends, and my fur babies!  I hope you are ready to enjoy and grow in your last year at Parkside!  I am excited for a fantastic year with each of you!

Resource Teacher

Hello and welcome to the O-Team! This year will be my 37th year of teaching. I have a special education degree from Iowa State University and a Master’s from St Ambrose.  I am the O-Team resource teacher. My job includes working with core teachers in the inclusion model and teaching interventions. I have a 25 year old son who is an Engineer for Caterpillar. Just this past year I became a cat mom too! I can't wait for another exciting year at PJHS!

Lit./Comp. & Language Arts

Greetings! I'm excited about starting my 30th year teaching 8th grade Literature & Composition and Language Arts.  I received my Bachelor's degree in English from ISU, where I also earned my Master's.  

My husband and I are both long-time Bloomington/Normal residents, and we have two daughters in college.  My favorite pastimes include reading mysteries and watching Chicago Cubs baseball.  I look forward to meeting you all!

Math & Language Arts

Hello! I am happy to be part of the O-Team this year! This is my 12th year teaching math and Language Arts at PJHS. I received my Bachelor's degree in Middle Level Education from ISU and earned a Master's in Teaching & Learning in 2018 and STEM Education in 2020. This summer, I will be spending most of my time with family and celebrating my daughter’s first birthday.  I am excited to meet each of you! Go Pythons!
