6th Grade Performance Shirts

This will be the shirt worn to all performances for 6th grade choir this year.

The online store opens Monday, October 19th and closes on Friday, October 30th.

EJHS Performance Polos

2026-27

7th & 8th grade choir students will wear black, EJHS Music polo shirts for every performance. Shirts are $22 and may be purchased through our online store linked HERE The store will close on Friday (9/11) at 10:00 AM.

Men's Glee Club Field Trip

Saturday, November 7, 2026

4:30 pm

All 6th, 7th, and 8th grade boys in chorus are invited to attend our field trip to watch the University of Illinois Varsity Men's Glee Club Dad's Day concert on Saturday, November 7th, at 7:30 pm. The concert takes place at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts in Urbana, IL.

Tickets are $40 which includes dinner and transportation.

About the director...

Mrs. Julia Beer has directed the choral program at Evans Junior High, since 2019. She holds a B.S. in Music Education as well as an M.M.E. in Music Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Entering her 26th year of teaching, she has served as a high school choral director, junior high choral director and elementary general music instructor throughout the state of Illinois.
She has served as an instructor for the Illinois Summer Youth Music Program at the University of Illinois and as conductor for the Junior Chorus in 2022, 2025 & 2026. She is a private piano instructor and has worked as a conductor, adjudicator and clinician for various contests and festivals throughout the state.
