Monday, March 18th

6:30 pm

Normal Community High School

Arrival and Departure

Students will be bussed over from their middle school at 1:45 pm for combined rehearsals, dinner, entertainment, and their concert. Parents are encouraged to attend the concert. Students will need to be picked up from NCHS at the end of the concert (approximately 7:45 pm).

Concert Attire

Concert is the music uniform worn for all other concerts. Black music polo, black pants and black dress shoes.  No jeans, leggings or tennis shoes. It is recommended that students should wear their concert attire to school that day, as there will not be time or space available for students to change clothes.

Dinner

Dinner will be provided by Jimmy John’s.  Dinner Includes: 4 inch sub, chips, cookie, pickle spear and bottled water. Meal cost is $9.00 per student.  Students will select their sandwich in class, so please send your student to school with their dinner money (CASH ONLY) by Friday March 5th. Money should be placed in an envelope with the student’s name clearly printed. Please send exact cash. There will not be change to give.

Concert

When students are not performing, they will sit in their assigned seats and listen to the other groups performing. Students are required to stay for the entire concert in order to receive full credit for the performance, as this concert is a requirement for a portion of their choir grade. Students are expected to be on their best behavior and to represent their school well. Book bags, coats, and other personal belongings will travel on the bus with the students, then stored in assigned classrooms. Those items need to be picked up after the concert.  Please refrain from bringing valuable items, including electronic devices and cell phones, to school that day, because we cannot guarantee that items will be secure.

Thank you for helping to make our Unit 5 Choral Festival a success! We look forward to sharing our music with you!
