About me

My name is Ali Akyuz, and I am originally from Denver, Colorado. I have a Bachelor’s degree in art education from the University of Northern Colorado, and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Colorado, Boulder. My wife and I live here in Normal with our 3 kids, Ayla (8yrs), Emre (5yrs), and Izel (3yrs). My wife and I own and operate a small educational art business called, That Art Studio where we teach community youth in a variety of disciplines in the visual arts.  I am a very curious individual that enjoys learning new things. In my free time, I enjoy playing and listening to music, making art, building things, and traveling.
