Cub Scout Pack

Purpose of Cub Scouting

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

There are four aims of Scouting: citizenship, character, personal fitness, and leadership.

The methods of Cub Scouting are: living the ideals, belonging to a den, advancement, family involvement, activities, and serving the community.

Pack 447 - Who we are

Pack 447 seeks to serve young boys and girls in the Homeschool community by providing a scouting program appropriate to them. We have regular meetings twice a month when we work on fun activities that emphasize the values of scouting. We also hold other events throughout the year such as family camping trips, day hikes, field trips and our annual pinewood derby.

Being involved in a Cub Scout Pack also opens the door to larger events such as Summer Day Camper and WEBELOS adventure camp. These events provide a lot of opportunities to lean new things and explore the world around us.

Joining

Our Pack is for boys and girls ages 5 through 10. You can join at any time during the year. There is a registration cost of $40 and monthly dues to fund the program of $5.

We suggest visiting one or our Monday night meetings if you are interested, or might be interested, in joining. You can send an email to Pack-Contact@unit447.org to setup a visit. We'll provide more information about the cost of joining then as well as other expectations.
