Dear MRISA Senior Basketball Participants,
It is our pleasure to welcome you to the 2024 MRISA Basketball Festival. This event has been designed to provide you with a unique learning experience, stretching you to grow as individuals, athletes and as part of the larger combined school sports tournament.
We hope that throughout your three days at our school, you will engage fully in the opportunity to make connections and form new friendships with the other participants, enjoy the hospitality of the UNIS Hanoi community, and gain a glimpse into the city we call home, Hanoi as well as our wonderful host country, Viet Nam.
We look forward to hosting you at UNIS Hanoi and celebrating the sportsmanship, athleticism and commitment of you, our participants. I know our community joins me in looking forward to watching the action.
Enjoy the festival!
Sincerely,
Jane McGee
Head of School
Dear MRISA Senior Basketball Participants,
Welcome to UNIS Hanoi: We’re thrilled you’re here! Being an athlete is special. Participating in sport and exercise is good for your growth, for your mind, and for your happiness; even when we don’t ‘win’, we win!
As you pass your time together, I encourage you to be courageous enough to reach out to others and make new connections, to play your best, and to be gracious in victory or loss. The outcome is so much less important than how you play the game.
Have a wonderful time seeking to achieve your personal best as an athlete and as a team mate!
Warmly,
Dr. Leppard
Secondary Principal
Dear MRISA Senior Basketball Participants,
It is with great pleasure and tremendous excitement that UNIS Hanoi welcomes you to the 2024 MRISA Senior Basketball tournament! UNIS has been working hard to make this event a success and we are certain that everyone will have a memorable experience. As we know, the main goal of any MRISA event is to celebrate, nurture and grow as young people and these international events allow for opportunities for our students to hone their skills and appreciate the sport. We hope the tournament will lead to new friendships being formed and that we become even a stronger MRISA family.
I would like to wish everyone a successful tournament and I encourage all athletes and participants to collaborate effectively, efficiently and warmly with each other. It is critical to take the time to develop your skills, learn from each other and make long lasting friendships. It is also important to represent your school and community with pride and be respectful of all those involved in the tournament. Again, we welcome you to UNIS Hanoi and we look forward to seeing you in person.
Have a wonderful time and thank you again,
John Zahara
