Three 30-hours targeted trainings of  19 trainees have been planned to be held

• in Apulia-Unisalento [10 from Italy (Apulia), 1 disadvantaged from Italy (Apulia),  4 from Albania and 4 from Montenegro] 

• in Molise [10 from Italy (Molise), 1 disadvantaged from Italy (Molise), 4 from Albania and 4 from Montenegro]

• in Albania [10 from Albania, 1 Albanian disadvantaged, 6 from Montenegro, plus 2 from Molise or Apulia]

The 3 training courses differ from each other in terms of the topic

• In Apulia Region, it focused on developing expertise for new eco-friendly forms of tourism which conjugate culture, old baroque and modern architecture and advanced technologies in the respect of nature

• In Molise Region, it developed expertise in financing opportunities and workation in rural areas

• In Albania, it developed expertise in promotional targeted campaigns of workation offerings, emphasizing the unique blend of work and leisure experiences especially for young people

ITALIAN Targeted training
Enhancing the ability in developing innovative forms of tourism

The activities of the Targeted training consist in classroom lessons and group works.

Lessons are held in English.

The duration is 30 hours (5 days). It will take place in presence from 13th to 17th of May 2024, at the Department of Economic Sciences (University of Salento).

The Targeted training is addressed to provide adequate know-how to understand the changing needs of the tourism market and develop new forms of tourism including Workation. It focuses on developing expertise, aiming to encourage new eco-friendly forms of tourism which will be able to conjugate culture, old baroque and modern architecture and advanced technologies in the respect of nature.

At the end of the training, the participants produce the reports of the activities,

take a test to evaluate the acquired skills and complete a satisfaction questionnaire about the attended targeted training.

Recipients of the call

• Students registered at Bachelor/Master Degree of University of Salento for the academic year 2023-2024

• Entrepreneurs involved in the tourism sector in Apulia region, Albania and Montenegro (territories of project partners)

• Any other person interested in the topics of the targeted training

Admission requirements

• Secondary education Diploma 

• Citizenship and residence in the IPA South Adriatic Programme area (Italian citizenship and residence in the Apulia Region, Albanian citizenship and residence in Albania, Montenegrin citizenship and residence in Montenegro)

Awards

Participants will receive the certificate of attendance to the training only in the case of presence at least 75% of the total hours.

In addition, for candidates enrolled in the Bachelor’s degree "Management of tourism organizations" (L15) or in the Master’s Degree "Management of tourist and cultural activities" (LM49) of the University of Salento n. 4 CFU are recognized, according to the Resolution of the Didactic Council of the Tourism Area of 11-04-2024. 

Application deadline and submission

Candidates who intend to participate in this public call must fill in the application, drawn up using the form attached to this call (Annex 1), duly completed and signed, addressed to the Director of the Department of Economic Sciences, and then send it via email no later than the 28th of April 2024, to the following e-mail address protocollo.economia@unisalento.it

The application form (Annex 1), all attached documents (certificate or self-certification based on the fac-simile attached to the call, Annex 2), must be signed, and a copy of the valid identity card or passport must be attached. 

The object of the email must be: 

“Public call for the selection of n.19 candidates at the targeted training “Enhancing the ability in developing innovative forms of tourism” of the Project “From Fictitious to Real hotel ideas for innovative forms of tourism-FRea” funded with the Interreg IPA South-Adriatic Programme 2021-2027 (Project N. SA-0100063-FRea) – Dept. of Economic Sciences (Project Leader)-Project Manager Prof. Sandra De Iaco”.

Evaluation criteria

A Commission appointed by a Decree of the Director of the Department of Economic Sciences will be in charge of the evaluation of the candidate’s CV and all other documents attached to the application form, on the basis of the criteria described below.

Maximum 100 points will be awarded according to:

• secondary education diploma mark (up to a maximum of 35 points);

• knowledge of English (up to a maximum of 15 points);

• previous work experience, professional collaborations, relevant to the subject of the call (up to a maximum of 30 points); 

• other titles relevant to the subject of the call (degree, university career, training courses, internships) (up to a maximum of 20 points).

Other information

For all the students of the target training, there will be a buffet for lunch and coffee break. In addition, in compliance with the Interreg IPA South Adriatic Programme 2021-2027, the coverage of:

• other costs for food, up to a maximum of EUR 32,00 per day, for each participant from Albania or Montenegro, 

• accommodation costs, up to a maximum of EUR 114,00 per day, for each participant from Albania or Montenegro,

• travel expenses, up to a maximum of EUR 196,00 for each participant from Albania, and up to a maximum of EUR 221,00 for each participant from Montenegro.
