OVERALL OBJECTIVE

ECoST-DATA project introduces an innovative and interdisciplinary approach for the assessment of air quality and its impact on climate change. By integrating  georeferenced data from different sources and applying advanced techniques for the analysis of spatio-temporal data with multivariate structure, the project aims to build harmonized and up-to-date spatio-temporal database. It is also proposed the implementation of advanced predictive models and spatial downscaling methods to generate small-scale forecasts, at municipal and intra-municipal level. 

The results achieved will constitute a solid basis for the development of air pollution control policies and climate change mitigation strategies, offering a significant contribution to the protection of the environment and public health.
