The meeting “Group Theory and Applications” is a conference organized in honor of Noraí Romeu Rocco on the occasion of his retirement.
Noraí R. Rocco has made significant contributions to both the brazilian and international mathematical communities, particularly in the field of Group Theory.
The meeting will take place in Brasilia from November 23 (arrival day) to November 27 (departure day) 2026.
The event will consists of plenary talks, short talks by early-career researchers, including recent PhD graduates and doctoral students, as well as poster sessions featuring master’s students and undergraduate researchers.
The aim of this event is to bring together experts and young researchers in Group Theory and related areas of mathematics to celebrate the career and the contributions to algebra of Noraí R. Rocco.
