Our laboratory offers students enrolled in the courses offered by the Department of Computer Science the opportunity to carry out their thesis activities or internships within the HCI.
Smart and resilient cities and communities
In this context, students work to identify real problems in any area of the urban ecosystem, such as those of public health, eco-sustainability, education, and road safety by adopting solutions based on augmented reality technologies, the internet of things, public displays, and mobile applications.
Social robotics and Human-Robot interaction
In these areas, students investigate social issues and develop robotics-based solutions. It will be possible to design various types of robots, from humanoid robots to autonomous vehicles, or to develop for latest generation robots provided by the laboratory.
User experience and interaction design
Students investigate and develop innovative designs of interactive devices with the aim of enhancing the user experience in different contexts.
Apple Foundation program at UNISA
Students participating in the Apple foundation program at UNISA can apply to continue their projects undertaken in the program within this laboratory in form of a internship or thesis.
