Aras Butanavicius

Don't take a loss, vote for Aras

Returning candidate

Briefly summarize your key ideas.

Aras is running for student council so that UNIS can be a community in which every student's voice is respected and heard. As the school's ears and voice, Aras will ensure that everybody's ideas and concerns are listened to and considered. Easily accessible and reachable, Aras will be an available leader who actually speaks for students. With an interest in making school events more engaging and building a greater sense of community, Aras works to make the experience more interactive and accessible for everyone. Finally, as the age-old saying goes, "Don't take a loss, vote for Aras"

Why should your peers put their faith in you?

Fellow students, my goal is to listen carefully, amplify your voices, and bring about positive change at UNIS. I care greatly about the enjoyment of school activities. I will put much effort into ensuring everyone feels welcome and noticed. Trust me, and together, we will create a more enjoyable school experience.

What sets you apart from other candidates?

What sets me apart from my fellow candidates is my deep commitment to listening carefully and realizing the visions of the student body. Jimi Hendrix once said, "Knowledge speaks, but wisdom listens."  I believe that meaningful change can be achieved by staying approachable and open; that is what sets me apart.

Why do you want to be a part of the Student Council?

I want to be part of the Student Council as I strongly believe in the power of the student voice and want to make sure it is heard and acted on. I am strongly passionate about making our high school experience fun and engaging for every student, as we all only have one. In this regard, I aspire to meet the needs of all
