YOUTUBE POLICY

1. OVERVIEW

YouTube is a video sharing website that allows anyone to watch and to upload videos. In order to facilitate the process of sharing videos with students and teachers, UNIS allows Tutorial House Students to upload videos on their school account.

2. SCOPE

The scope of this policy includes all employees and students (Tutorial House) who have or are responsible for a Youtube account using a UNIS Google account.

3. SHARING VIDEOS FOUND ON YOUTUBE WITH OTHERS ON UNIS CONNECT OR ELSEWHERE FOR THE PURPOSE OF A SCHOOL PROJECT

Only use YouTube videos related to your courses/curriculum.

4. UPLOADING VIDEOS IN ORDER TO SHARE THEM ON UNIS CONNECT OR ELSEWHERE

By submitting a video, you certified that your submission is an original work, has not been copied from others, and it does not violate the rights of any other person or entity. By submitting a video, your work adheres to the fundamental mission and spirit of UNIS and does not contain any defamatory or otherwise unlawful matter.

All videos uploaded on your UNIS Youtube account must be related to your courses/curriculum. Your school account cannot be used to share personal videos not related to UNIS.
All videos uploaded on your UNIS Youtube account must be your own creation.
Only use authorized content (respecting the The code of best practices in fair use for media literacy), including, without limitation, music, images, film clips, and other intellectual property, in your video project.
Only use images or likenesses of any individuals who have provided their authorization or whose parents or guardians have provided authorization.
When uploading a video, make it unlisted which means that anyone who has the link to the video can view it. Your unlisted videos won’t appear to others who visit the Videos tab of your channel page and shouldn't show up in YouTube's search results unless someone adds your unlisted video to a public playlist.

5. POLICY COMPLIANCE

Violating any of the above or any other activity that would be considered against the spirit of UNIS code of behavior will result in disciplinary actions as deemed appropriate by the Administration.
