CISEM: Computational Intelligence for Sustainable Energy Management in Microgrids and Renewable Energy Communities 

The sustainable utilization of energy resources, the increasing complexity of electrical grids, and the emergence of Renewable Energy Communities present significant challenges for energy management and optimization. This Special Session aims to explore the frontiers and challenges within the field of Computational Intelligence, focusing on Evolutionary Computation-based solutions, Fuzzy Logic, and Artificial Neural Networks for the optimal usage and management of energy resources in microgrids and Renewable Energy Communities. Covered topics include Computational Intelligence for Green Technologies Applications, Machine Learning and Big Data analytics for energy management, Learning-based Control of Renewable Energy Generators, Smart Building Energy Management, Energy Storage Systems modeling, and more. The session will foster collaboration among diverse scientific communities and promote the development of innovative algorithms and intelligent systems to enhance sustainability and efficiency in energy production, distribution, and consumption.
