The "Scuola di Ingegneria Aerospaziale" (SIA) is one of the 12 faculties of Sapienza. It is located in Rome, Italy, adjacent to the Urbe Airport in one of the famous ancient consular Roman roads: Via Salaria. It is two year post-graduate School specialized in Space Engineering. To enroll to the School it is required a "Laurea" degree in Engineering. By "Laurea" it is meant a degree or Master that is obtained after 5 years (the 5 years can be the sum of the years of the Batchelor degree and Master degree). The degree required to enroll to SIA can be of any type of Engineering, i.e., Mechanics, Civil, Electronic, Electric, Nuclear, Chemical etc... In case the "Laurea" degree is in the field of Aeronautics, Aerospace, Space or equivalent, the course of study at SIA is reduced from two academic years to one academic year. The degree that is gained at SIA is a "Special Master in Aerospace Engineering" (in Italian is "Laurea a Statuto Speciale in Ingegneria Aerospaziale"). For more details please visit the SIA webpage either in English or in Italian:
University College of Aviation and Technology (ESAT University) is a Private Higher Education Institution in Tunisia. ESAT University offers mainly two degree programs: a degree program in Aeronautical Engineering and a degree program in Geomatics and Topography Engineering. The two degree programs are accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Tunisia and by the German Agency ASIIN (EQF 7). ESAT University degrees are recognized worldwide. Indeed, ESAT University is a pioneer in North Africa and Africa in the Aviation Industry and Higher Education Activities when it comes to providing national and international labor markets with highly skilled and qualified experts in the field of Aeronautical Engineering and Geomatics and Topography Engineering. A.S.C.O. is the acronym of the Assumpta Science Center Owerri. ASCO is building an interactive science centre in the heart of Africa, at Ofekata near Owerri, in Nigeria. The goal of ASCO is to spread the science and technology culture amongst young Nigerians and Africans in general in order to enable them to become masters of their own future. ASCO, besides its headquarter in Nigeria it is registered in Nigeria, Italy and Switzerland and has established branches in Kenya, Cabo Verde and USA through the African Scientific Institute in California, as well as starting branches in Togo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Camerun and Benin. The idea of the ASCO project is the fruit of an interdisciplinary doctoral thesis in Social Communications and Missiology at the Pontifical Gregorian University, Rome by the present Director, Rev. Fr. Tobechi Anyadike. He also gives a series of lectures at SIA-Sapienza on Science Communication. ASCO science center will be constituted by about 15 buildings with a total of 5200 square meters covered and walkable. At year 2023 the chemistry building of 400 square meters is completed and the auditorium of 330 square meters is under construction (see figure below).
