Open Infrastructure for advanced Sapienza Nano Optical fabrication and spectroMicroscopy
AIM
SNOM, aims to build an open research infrastructure equipped with state-of-the-art instrumentation, including systems for micro- and nanoscale fabrication, micrometer-resolution microspectroscopy systems that will operate over a broad frequency region from terahertz to ultraviolet, and finally a near-field spectromicroscope that will cover the same spectral range with nanometer resolution.
Open infrastructures for research 2022
MISSION
SNOM challenge is to promote the development of Lazio's innovation ecosystem, addressing the RIS3 need to change the public-private relationship in R&D, and focusing on international innovation-RIS3 second director of change-by establishing an internal business development structure that ensures its economic sustainability and increases its international reach. In particular, the application areas identified by SNOM include several priority areas of S3 (Life Sciences, Cultural Heritage and Cultural Technologies, Agrifood, Blue Economy, Green Economy, Aerospace and Automotive), supported by KET Nanotechnology and also by other KETs (Micro and Nanoelectronics, Advanced Materials, Advanced Manufacturing Systems).
