Hello, I am an Assistant Professor (RTDA) in Economic Statistics at the Department of Methods and Models for Economics (MEMOTEF) of the Sapienza University of Rome.
Previously, I spent two years as a research fellow at the Department of Statistical Science at the same university.
In 2021, I obtained my PhD in Economic Statistics at MEMOTEF with a thesis entitled "Alternative approaches for counterfactual evaluation in the presence of a few units". During my PhD, I also had the opportunity to visit the University of Southern Denmark.
My research interests mainly concern methods and applications in policy evaluation, regional economics and political economy. From a methodological point of view, I am working on extensions of the synthetic control method and estimators from continuous treatment with heterogeneous treatment effects. From an empirical perspective, I am interested in the impact evaluation and forecasting of shocks and policies on a range of various socioeconomic outcomes.
I also lead the Rome unit of the PRIN project "Depopulation Risk: Experiences, Mobility, and Subjective Well-being (DREAMS)."
