Elena Umili is a fixed-term Researcher in Computer Science and Engineering at Dipartimento di Ingegneria Informatica, Automatica e Gestionale "A. Ruberti", Sapienza - Università di Roma (DIAG). I was involved in the WhiteMech ERC project. Currently I am part of the Knowledge Reasoning and Learning (KRL) group and I work in the Future Artificial Intelligence Research (FAIR) project. My work focuses on finding connections between learning and reasoning agents. My research interests comprise Planning, Deep Learning and Neuro-Symbolic AI. In particular, my research focuses on bridging the gap between neural networks representation and symbolic logical models, to enhance efficiency, knowledge transfer, generalization and explainability.
