During the last fifteen years Paolo Burghignoli has been thesis advisor or co-advisor of more than 40 Bachelor and Master students in Electronic Engineering (Rome seat) and Information Engineering (Latina seat) at Sapienza University of Rome.

- modeling and/or numerical simulation of planar antennas

- leaky-wave theory and applications

- generation of non-diffracting or focused beams

- transient phenomena in planar structures

- electromagnetic waves with Orbital Angular Momentum (OAM)
