Honours Programme for the Master’s degree
It has been several years since the Faculty of Information Engineering, Computer Science and Statistics has established an Honours Programme aimed at enhancing the education of the most outstanding students. Within this framework, the master’s degree programme in Management Engineering, which is part of this Faculty, has offered a dedicated track that includes additional learning activities (i.e., seminars, internships, course, etc.) aimed at providing in-depth knowledge on topics characterising the degree programme, through the analysis and discussion of issues and problems of particular methodological and practical relevance.
The coordinator for the Honours Programme is Professor Marco Sciandrone. Each of the activities planned may involve – as has already been the case in previous editions – the participation of international lecturers, as well as technical experts and managers from public and private organisations and companies. Activities are organised according to an interdisciplinary approach and are designed to foster active student participation, also facilitated by the limited number of participants (for the 2025-2026 edition, a maximum of 15). Such activities are generally carried out during the second semester of the second year of the programme and involve an overall workload compatible with that required for attending the master’s degree programme.
Upon successful completion of the Honours Programme, students will receive a certificate issued by the Dean’s Office, which will be included in their academic record. In addition, the University will award a prize equivalent to the tuition fees paid in the final year of the programme
The admission procedures for the Honours Programme are set out in the following call for applications:
