JUMPS Dissemination

JUMPS researchers believe that it is crucial to put in place a sufficiently wide range of beyond-state-of-the-art research and high-level dissemination and communication activities. Thus research task ensures that most of such activities are successful and reach their intended target audiences. A second key issue is to make sure that JUMPS members have the opportunity to share their views internally and with external actors, and to discuss both intermediate and final research findings, as well as policy recommendations, with target audiences and the public at large. Target audiences are mainly represented by economists and policy makers involved in the most important European institutions (European Commission, European Parliament, ECB, EIB, ESM, Fiscal Board, and so on) as well as in a number of European Think-tanks and academic departments. In terms of public at large, JUMPS pursues the attempt to convince Italian and European citizens that their economic and social perspectives are influenced by the European policy mix more than by the national fiscal policies.

The above-described activities are achieved through a dissemination & communication strategy whose main components are the following: 1) a preliminary mapping of all the EU- and national-level stakeholders to be involved – both as target groups and as participants – in and by the JUMPS team; 2) the synchronization of the network’s activities with those taking place or expected to take place at the EU level; 3) the constant translation of research findings into policy recommendations in a way that also involves periodic interaction with policymaking communities; 4) the actual dissemination of research and communication of JUMPS activities and outputs. As for the dissemination of results, the JUMPS network emploies a multi-level strategy, relying upon various tools.
