The IRS group investigates the properties of matter by means of infrared spectroscopy.
We use many spectroscopic techniques such as FTIR, ATR, FT-Raman, near-field AFM-IR, photocurrent spectroscopy, and IR microscopy.
The current research focus includes low-dimensional systems (such as quantum wells and emerging two-dimensional materials), novel plasmonic and nanoantenna materials, including heavily doped semiconductors, and vibrational spectroscopy of biological macromolecules, particularly proteins.
