Research interests

My research concerns fluid dynamics and numerical Simulation: Direct Numerical Simulation (DNS), Large Eddy Simulation (LES), and Reynolds Averaged Numerical Simulation (RANS). Premixed and Diffusive Combustion in turbulent flows: numerical and experimental investigation. Numerical simulation and theoretical analysis of the boundary layer separation dynamics. Turbulent jet dynamics at supercritical thermodynamic conditions. Inertial particle-laden turbulent flows, both wall-bounded and free-shear flows. Bubble dynamics in turbulent flows. Polymer-laden turbulent wall-bounded flow. Turbulent flows on superhydrophobic surface. Aerodynamics of lifting surfaces and numerical simulations of race cars. Hemodynamics: dynamics of blood flow in realistic geometry.  Drag reduction in turbulent wall-bounded flows induced by both the polymer and superhydrophobic surfaces.
