Federica Rosso is currently Associate Professor at Sapienza University of Rome, working in the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering. She received the M.Sc. in Architectural Engineering (with honors) and the PhD in Architectural and Urban Engineering. She has been visiting research scholar at New York University, Tandon School of Engineering (USA).
Her research interests are related to architectural engineering, building design, passive strategies for improving the resilience and sustainability of buildings, towards climate challenges mitigation, with particular focus on Urban Heat Island and flooding mitigation.
Her work on these topics have appeared on international scientific journals, such as Building and Environment, Construction and Building Materials, Energy and Buildings, Sustainable Cities and Society, Renewable energy, Sustainability, among others. She is Editor for City and Environment Interactions journal, Elsevier, and for Springer series Advances in Advances in Science, Technology & Innovation.
