Arithmetic and Geometric Aspects of Drinfeld Modules, Anderson Motives, and Computational Aspects

2nd Joint Meeting co-organized by the Unione Matematica Italiana (UMI) and the American Mathematical Society (AMS) in Palermo, Italy. The dates of this meeting are July 23-26, 2024.

The dates of the Special Session on Arithmetic and Geometric Aspects of Drinfeld Modules, Anderson Motives, and Computational Aspects

are July 23-24, 2024.

The organizers are: 

Tuan Ngo Dac (Université de Caen, FRANCE), Matt Papanikolas (Texas A&M, USA), Mihran Papikian (Penn State University, USA), Federico Pellarin (Università Sapienza, Roma, ITALY)

The duration of talks will be 20 minutes followed by 10 minutes of questions.

Unfortunately the AMS and the UMI do not provide travel support for speakers and participants at their meetings. We are looking into other sources of funding and may have some limited travel support, but we do not have definitive information yet. Please contact the organizers of the special session if your acceptance is contingent on funding.

After verifying the payment status, the UMI secretary will send the abstract submission forms, which must be uploaded by May 1, 2024.

Concerning talks, the form to submit an abstract has the following multiple choice:

I have received an invitation to speak in a special session;

Yes

No

By May 13 the schedule and the list of speakers of the session must be complete and published.

Concerning the NO checks that you did not select to give a talk, should they decide not to attend the meeting, they will have the opportunity to cancel their registration by June 15, 2024 (the deadline for asking for a refund of the registration fee).
