Arithmetic and Geometric Aspects of Drinfeld Modules, Anderson Motives, and Computational Aspects

2nd Joint Meeting co-organized by the Unione Matematica Italiana (UMI) and the American Mathematical Society (AMS) in Palermo, Italy. The dates of this meeting are July 23-26, 2024.

are July 23-24, 2024.

The duration of talks will be 20 minutes followed by 10 minutes of questions.

Place: Building 13, Room 2

Information on Building 13 which contains the Department of Economics and Statistics (SEAS).

If you go out Edificio 7, where the registration desk is, cross the street and turn right. The building is on your left after a five-minute walk. There are five rooms for special sessions in this building. 

If you come from Building 19, you meet an entrance of Building 13 and inside Aula Colletti. This is not the right entrance. Walk further on and reach the second entrance to the building where you meet an elevator and a sign with the rooms. 

On this sign the rooms for special sessions are indicated with "Aula I", "Aula II", "Aula III", "Aula IV", "Aula V" and not, for instance "Aula SEAS 1" etc. In particular, Aula I and Aula III are on the ground floor. Aula II, Aula IV, Aula V are on the first floor. Each room has a blackboard, a video projector and a PC which will be available without credentials. On the afternoon of July 23, the coffee break will be in front of the Department of Architecture (Darch). To reach it, go out of Building 13 and turn left, walk a little and take the stairs to reach the coffee break.

During the remaining days, the coffee break will be in Building 19. This time, go out of the building and turn right and walk until you reach the first doors of Building 19. The coffee break is on the first floor.
